Marc Zumoff comes to Alpha Pi

Earlier today, Marc Zumoff, the play-by-play announcer for the Philadelphia 76ers, made a special appearance at the house.  He is a Temple alumni discussed many things such as his experience with the Sixers, the NBA, and even his Jewish Heritage.

Proceeds for the event went toward the Maccabi Sports of Israel, which aims to provide Jewish athletes across the world with the opportunity to share their heritage and customs in competitive athletic setting.

The event was an overall success. The Alpha Pi chapter would like to send a special thank you to Marc Zumoff for giving us his time to share his experiences in sports and Judaism.

Super Sunday

Yesterday, a dozen brothers from the Alpha Pi Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Pi took part in an event that is held by many of the 155 Jewish Federations in North America with the help of Temple's Hillel. Super Sunday is an annual phone-a-thon that raises money for charity and typically to raise most of the budget for the federation and its constituent agencies.

The brothers who took part in the event helped raised hundreds of dollars for the organizations! We as a chapter look forward to participating in any future Super Sundays that the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia plans.

Mid-Atlantic Conclave

Over the weekend, the Alpha Pi chapter hosted this year’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Conclave. This honor is only given to chapters that Nationals believes is the most motivated and ready to host a great event. For those of you who haven’t been to conclave, it is one of the greatest experiences that AEPi has to offer. It gives brothers the opportunity to meet other brothers from around the Mid-Atlantic region.

We had the opportunity to display our chapter for brothers from different campuses. Conclave chairs Mike Small and Josh Mosios did a great job planning the event.

Our chapter would like to send special thank you to the Delta Rho chapter at Drexel University. They were quick to help us with hosting the event at Drexel’s campus. Overall the weekend ended as a success.
